Lighting the path for budding researchers

From the Editorial Board

Mathematics gives pure joy, like music does, without words. It has been the backbone of logic and the alphabets of chaos. In brief, mathematics is the alpha and omega of all sciences hitherto known to mankind to equip itself with the surest tool to unlock the mystery of life in this universe or beyond, if any. It is both the language of knowledge and knowledge itself.

It is an honour for me to play the part of an editor for this ambitious journal of mathematics review research. I highly commend how this journal is encouraging students to familiarise themselves with recent developments in higher mathematics which lie beyond the immediate confines of university syllabi. The observations published here are of high quality and bear the early marks of real research by students.

I am certain that this will establish an example of inspiring commitment and love for the subject
amongst the number hunters across the academic arena.

My best wishes.

I take pride in being part of the Mathematics journal ÉCLAT, from the conception to the realisation of this academic effort. The name Éclat is so apt for the content enclosed in it. We, as mathematicians, believe Mathematics to be the ultimate language of science; it is symbolic yet explicable, it is abstract yet real, it is static but used to explain the dynamics. It truly has the power of simulating nature into the artificial.

The journal is a step towards making all believe what we as mathematicians have faith in. As teachers, it becomes our utmost responsibility to give our students an opportunity to nurture and sharpen their ability to understand, comprehend and apply mathematics in order to solve the unsolved. This journal is the perfect platform for the same. The content is promising and is of quality. I honestly hope ‘ÉCLAT’ inspires all readers to think further and beyond.

I wish the team good luck.

The Department of Mathematics has been fully instrumental throughout the last decade, in the publishing of the journal in print form. But as academicians, it is also our responsibility to conserve nature and protect our environment. It is with this rationale that we have decided to move from print journal to e-journal. Also, by this initiative, we can extend the accessibility of the journal to a larger domain.

This journal aims to meet academic as well as ethical standards. It promises to provide a platform to students to hone their research skills. It allows one to enhance proficiency in comprehension. Most importantly, it motivates the students to go beyond the boundaries of prescribed curriculum and delve deep into the oceans of knowledge.

This journal assimilates ideas emerging from existing results within the various fields of mathematics. It covers a wide range of spectrum such as history of mathematics, rigour in mathematics, extension of course content and inter-disciplinary aspects of mathematics. A new section “Contribution of Women in Mathematics” has been added to this volume. The idea behind it is to emphasise the dire need to portray female role models in the scientific research fraternity.

We would like to thank all the contributors, mentors, students and the administration for their support in publishing ‘ÉCLAT’. We hope that this journal will be beneficial to the readers as well authors, and will continue to motivate the student community.

The editorial board is pleased to announce the first online issue of the annual academic Mathematics journal ‘ÉCLAT’.
